one radiator upstairs gives off a gassy/metal smell. Needs bled occasionally, and the air that comes out has this smell. But can smell the same smell when I go into the room when the heating is on. Its not coming from the boiler. Why does the radiator give off this smell and what can I do?

It's probably corrosion product gas ie hydrogen with additives. You may also have a bactrium in there. First try corrosion inhibitor from a plumbers merchant.
