Removal of fire door and building regs
Reply with quote Thanks

Hi,
we had a fire door and stud wall built to comply with building regs for our loft conversion(done 4 years ago), we had the work signed off and hold the certificate of completion. We later removed the door because it was unsightly.
We have now had a bulding inspector visit to inspect other work unconnected with the loft and he is insiting we reinstate the stud wall and fire door.
Does anyone know if the inspector can insist you do work that you haven't asked him to inspect and that you already hold a completion certificate for?
thanks
