What should the distance between gas hob & cooker hood be please. Last query dated 8th Jan 2003. Have new regs changed distance of 750 plus 50 either side of hob? |

Regulations bedammed - stop and think for a moment about where a hood would be in relation to your head if it were only 750mm above the hob... |

Hello b-a-s, are you trying to hurt my feelings - I am only 5' 5" tall. 750 would give ME plenty of head room. So do you know what the regulations state - or not? regards Ken |

The minimum distance between hob and hood is 60, 65 or 70cm depending on which expert you talk to.
I'm sure the world's tallest man has his at such a height. |

Mine is 1 metre above the hob, the hob is at 850, seems convenient to me (I am not very tall) but I wouldn't want it any lower. |
