would like to install two fluorescent light units, both controlled by the same switch in garage, only power supply i have in garage is socket, can someone please explain the way to do it. wiring diagram would also be very helpful. many thanks

Run a switched fused spur off a socket and connect the lights in parallel to the load side of the switch. Fuse should be 3A.
