I took up the carpet this morning in a room that has very creaky boards. I expected to find floorboards, but in fact found what looks like slabs of chipboard about 18\\\" by 2\\\'.
Am I doomed to stop this creaking, or can it be done. It appears there are very few positions to add more nails. Is it better to add screws? |

brush talcum into the gaps and joints where its squeeking[acts like a dry lubricant and may take a while to work its way through the joint]
screws are much better for securing floorboards __________________ big all
