The machine works perfect and even starts the slow turning action building up to a fast spin, but once the fast spin starts it immediately trips the power off. I noticed a small flash from underneath the machine  when this happens but if I put the power back on I can repeat this again and again so fuse hasn't blown??? Please help. Thanks Maria.

from your posting I understand that the machine goes through the wash programme ok as this is a relatively slow turn but trips when it gets to the faster spin ie rinse and spin or final spin. If this is the case the probability is the motor is breaking down under load or less likely, but possible there may be a short or poor connection in the part of the wiring harness in the machine. If you could pinpoint were the flash is coming from this would be the tell tale sign but the problem is a washing machine is a class 1 appliance which means it cannot be worked on with the top or back off while running.
