can i wire 8 mains 35 watt spotlights to one dimmer switch?

also can i link all the spotlights to each other or will i have to keep getting the feed from a junction box of the light switch?

thankyou very much for your help, is there anything else i will need to know to do the job?

daisychain the light fittings. One to the next etc. The wiring blocks usually take 2 sets of wires.

And for that load, you're looking at a 600w dimmer (de-rate dimmers for use on halogen loads). Varilight do one this size, i recommend their touch-switch range. Good stuff, and they do them at B&Q. ;)
