just replaced a old radiator with a new one bleed the system but no radiators heating up water pump working but getting very hot any help would be appreciated

sounds like you have an air lock around the pump. Is it a combi boiler? Is the automatic air release valve open?
 
Bleed the pump by removing the centre screw, and check for an air bleed point on the pipes from the boiler where they go into the HW cylinder.

there is what looks like an air bleed point on the pipe just before the pump there is a 90% bend just before the pump with a T joint being used for the bend and a what looks like a screw on the top of the T joint that could be turned with a flat head screwdriver not to sure on turning it though there is a lot of soulder on it does this sound to you like the bleed point hope ive explained it ok
