radiator size

Can someone tell me what size of C.H. radiator I will need to heat a room 14 feet by 13 feet by9 feet high could a lons short one fit under a window or would a double radiator be better thanks

Without proper information I would guess that you need about 2.4 kW of heating but the exact amount depends on many variables.

Thanks for the advice. When joining the 10mm pipe to the manifold pipe can a compression coupling be used or is it better to use a solder joint?
 
14x13x9..ground floor wooden suspended floor 11inch insulated cavity...1 outside wall7kbtu....2o/s walls 8kbtu 3o/s walls 8900btu....what`s watts :?: ;) Compression fittings on micro are fine....I`d like to see a rad in the most convenient/inconspicuous place in each room ....just as I used to fit them ....as do British Gas :LOL:

thanks Nige I think I'm safer with compression couplings as my soldering is not pretty to look at, but it's always stuck
