crack covering paint

High all,

i have a small ceiling that is extreamly lumpy and cracked, have seen in homebase dulux paint for covering servere cracks, and also some for painting and smoothing over an artex ceiling, any one ever used this stuff, it is applied with a soft plastic spreader and i am worried that its is basically just going to show the application strokes, or does it somehow dry smooth??

any ideas or surgesstions??

All these products are targeted at DIY'ers. If i were u i had get an Plasterer in.

wasn`t sure of the finish that this paint acheives,
we have a good plaster that i have used before so will proably do that.

To be honest "serge33" in my opinion these products you mention are quick fixes that DO NOT fix the real problem. I know of some products that are in the DIY family that do not except fillers over them etc...............
