I'm changing an old electric shower over a bath for some shiny new shower taps. What is the best practice regarding old wiring, pull cord etc..
Any advice much appreciated.

Basically what to do with the live wires coming out of the wall where the shower is and the pull cord on the ceiling. Should i just snip these off and terminate them in some way.

electric showers are nicer. hope you have a thermostatic mixer on these new taps, or you'll regret this.

But anyway, disconnect the cable from the consumer unit and remove from there. Label it as "shower unused" or similar. Remove all traces of wiring in the bathroom, and leave up in the loft if you wish.
