CH works OK, but Hot Water very intermittant, sometimes very hot, other times relatively cold. Water presure seems ok. Any ideas?

with hot water running check to see if CH pipe is getting hot if so diverter valve could be passing.
Some flow switches did stick on these I believe they are grey and the new ones black.
These have an accumilator which heats a tank of water via an electrical heating element this too could be faulty.
It could be any of the above and then again it could be some thing else.
