I have a Maytag dishwasher and I need to check the salt level but I don\\\'t where it is located. It leaves a white residue on everything and the arms are not moving but are free when turned by hand.

Salt container should be on the botom of the machine. There is usually a screw lid on it.
How do you know the arms are not turning?
can you hear the pump running and the water sloshing about inside when it is running ?
What kind of tabs are you using?

What is the model No:

The salt container is normally at the bottom inside the wash chamber, the arms are pushed round by the water pressure being pumped through the arm outlets on most dishwashers.
