5 flashes indicates a problem with the pressure switch / system.

This is confusing, the drum is full and won't drain, so how can it be the pressure switch if it's pumped all the water it wants in?

Bl**dy thing...

It's an Indesit. They defy logic. 5 flashes indicates a problem with the pressure switch.
Put the dial to one of the reset dots, switch on. Once it accepts the reset, switch off, select a drain or spin program and switch on. It should then drain.
If it doesn't, drain it manually by lowering the drain hose into a bowl. Then check the filter (if it has one) and the pump for any blockage.

Thanks for your help so far.

Found the cause of the blockage. Couple of plastic collar bones from a shirt.

Congratulations to the penny pinching accountant that saw fit to stop putting filters on washing machines. What a load of cobblers! Anyone want to buy a recently serviced washing machine? icon_lol.gif
