Where to place cut ceramic floor tiles?
Reply with quote Thanks

I've got a slight problem I'm hoping an expert can help me out with. I'm about to tile a small bathroom floor and was proposing to start against the flat 'back' wall to get a good line of uncut tiles down.
However, when I move away from the back wall towards the door I will end up with a line of cut tiles directly where the tiling will meet the adjacent carpet.
My father seems to think I should work the other way round and start with full tiles at the door and end up with a line of cut tiles at the back wall.
Can anybody offer any advice from experience?
thanks

Cheers gcol, I guess I should have looked around the site a bit before I asked a daft question icon_redface.gif The good thing is I've learned a lot from this site (for instance, I was told it would be okay to put my ceramic tiles straight onto floorboards - thats obviously not recommended!!)

cheers for your help once again

No worries. With the dedicated tiling forum now, it'll be easier to spot the tiling sticky. Good luck. icon_wink.gif
