Six months ago I laid a concrete garage floor. It has only had light use but has started to crack and crumble. What did I do wrong and how can I fix it please?
Thanks. Alexander6

Thanks for your reply Noseall. Having read your reply I think I did make the mixture too weak and I definately laid it in frosty conditions. I think I'll have to dig it up and start again.
Thanks for your help, I appreciate it.

don't forget, drying out too fast can be a problem too.

concrete loves water and a longish drying time.

it simply hates frost though. icon_wink.gif

Thanks again Noseall - I'll be more careful when I lay the new floor, now you've told me the pitfalls.

Thanks BigIan. I did tamp it down but I don't think I did a very good job. Thanks for the advice - I'll do better next time.
