Hi there,

I have just completed a plastering course and want to dry line my garage to use as a practice area for the plastering. However, I know little about joinery and don't know the best way to fix the timber onto the brick wall. Is it best to use screws or masonry nails, or would frame fixings be better?

It is likely that once finished we will put shelves up in the garage so I want the frame to be securely fastened. Any help would be greatly appreciated.[/url]

Are you full plastering, or just giving the plasterboard a skim coat? ...pinenot :)

I'm just skimming over the plasterboard. Honestly I was hoping someone would say to just hire a nail gun and fire some in. :)

Good to know I'll be fine with screws and plugs. Thanks.
