Here we go again.

If you dont give a damn, wnat to spend sod all.

Go for it.

Rather have a angry guard mouse on a chain than that

youre not a fan then !!!!

Just been reading some reviews online....not good

thought they looked quite nifty but a lot of money for what they are

so what alarm would you recommend ?

A lot?

Base line there was 149 IIRC or was it £199.

Give me a clue on what you value your property.
I can the say go to Yaleman3 or give local recommended approved companies.

As above your spend and value will give you a system.

I have one and posted on here a couple of weeks ago for opinions.

No one seems to like it on here but no one wants to give a proper reason why.

For me, it seems to do its job, however I still would like to know it's vulnerabilities, maybe this time round will give better answers.

Cheap toot. That answer your question?

No it doesn't, that's the same reply as last time.

Yes it's cheap and I don't disagree that you get what you pay for, I would never say it's the best alarm there is.

But why is it so bad? What does it do wrong?

sorry Alumni
you will not get a response from the pro installers on this forum for a bit of equipment that really appears to be a cheap and nasty way of doing what we do for a living.

mr hawkins
as above

me personally i wouldn't touch that with a very long pole.

if you want to know why, just read up on EN50131/DD234/DD244 and a few others i could say, or you could even go back a few years and read up on BS4737, (old regs but still good)

so sorry mates you will NOT get a response for something we as pro installer deem an imported bit of tat proporting to be an alarm system.

Oasis

PS i would rather fit a YALE or RESPONSE system than that!!! and i will NEVER fit the above YALE or RESPONSE system

but if you want to relay on the system of your choice, go for it, you are are not tied to any regulations on the installtion of alalrm systems, so you can fit what you like.!!!!!

I know, and i too happen to be in the industry.
Hence my comment, 'may'.
As in, it may work, or it may not.

appreciate the replies.....the alaram is for a house we are looking to buy

it already has an ADT system so may look to keep or upgrade that

just saw the alert me on tv and thought it looked simple to install and liked the idea of getting a text/call when the alarm was activated

but havent decided yet so will continue with the research

if you already have a ADT system fitted, why are you looking for another one?

most probably the system you have fitted is a Galaxy anyway, so why change it?

one thing you could do with the existing system, if you are not under contract with the company, is get a local engineer who knows the system and get them to sort it out.

Galaxy is not a DIY panel in any sense of the word, and it would be prudent to get an experienced engineer to sort it for you.

that is all we use and they are a grat panel, and easy to use for the client.
