The cold water taps in the upstairs bathroom have stopped working(sink, bath and cistern).
The hot water taps work in the sink and bath and all other rooms have both hot and cold water.
I haven't done any diy or anything that I think would have caused the cold water to stop working.

Does anyone have any advice on what could be wrong?

thanks I went into the loft and it seems there are 3 water tanks up there. all are full though.
Sounds like an air lock in the pipework[assuming no valves are closed].try either sucking the air out of the tap or putting a mains pressure hose on the tap to force the air lock back into the tank.close the taps you are not using when you try it.

thanks it was an airlock. I used an old vacuum cleaner to suck the air out (probably not health and safety recommended) and it's all working now.

Strange to get an airlock if you hadnt done anything on the system.
