Triton T80z 8.5kW cycling hot and cold

Hi,

Moved into old house with existing electric shower looks fairly new. Its cycling hot and cold water and not very powerful.

Taken cover off (qualified spark) undertaken following looking through sites:
- descaled hose and shower head
- ensured mains water on full
- cleaned filters

Not resolved.

Bought some descaler as hard water area - can it be done with heating element? Looks like sealed unit?

How do I check water pressure?

Otherwise, new shower?

Did you try running with the head off just hose on ?
Shower hose may look ok but can still be collapsing internally, Useally just behind hand set.

taken head off and run for 10 mins or so with cold water on full.

Hose doesn't seem to be collapsed or kinked in anyway. That said, haven't replaced it.

Only tried it once since then as been away and seemed a little better but still not great.

May just be that pressure not great?

I think I need new shower but loath to fork out before trying everything else.

Interested if I can get heating element unit - looks sealed - off and descaled and cleaned up?
