Scottish independence.

her official title is duchess of Cornwall.

That is what 'we' are told to call her. What is your point?

Nevertheless she is the Princess of Wales and will be until William becomes the Prince of Wales after (life permitting) his Father, Charles, becomes King George VII (or picks another name).

All very sensible in 2014.

I hpoe you are not under the impression I am a monarchist or indeed have any idea how they operate. They appear to be in the enviable position of making it up as they go along.

RIGHT NOW .

REALLY WOW .

and there was me thinking a nuclear power station takes longer than a day to build .
Do we have the technology for electric articulated lorries that go hundreds / thousands of miles do we have the infra structure to put it onto electric trains instead ?

Stop shouting!

No, I don't mean today, I mean now before the oil begins to run out. The lorries you are concerned about could run on LPG or some other similar fuel. The entire rail network could run on electricity.

See you sussed it as well?

Loads of Scots did as well

All of us in the UK have some beef with westminster to some extent regardless of who is in power.
Us ulster protestants of course never baulked when the tories are holding the reigns. We just put our heads down, work hard , pay our taxes and get on with things.

As for camoron, balls and clegg , they have made themselves look well foolish.
You Scottish enjoy a larger share of public money per head than any other part of the uk so I don't see why you should get any more preferential treatment.
Lets hope if its a no vote their vow isn't worth jack schitt.

Regardless of who wins this referendum it will have created deep divisions in Scottish society imo.
salmond should be strung up.

The no camp should wheel this guy out...

I think its jockscott...

Personally, I hope that Scotland votes no and stays in the UK but I can understand why they want change and want to get away from decades of incompetent useless governments.

At the next election, I will be voting UKIP. I have no idea how well they would run the country but I am sick of all the other parties so would like to give them a chance.

I'm sure the Scots feel the same way.

I don't believe the Barnett gives us any more back than we pay in if the tax figures are to be believed.

If it is a NO I can't see the YEs camp taking it graciously, it will cause divisions for years and the next few months the TV will not be worth watching for moaners going on about it......much the same as now. I haven't watched the news for months for fear of slipping into a coma.

A couple of things I can't work out. If Scotland adopts the pound I'm not sure it could call itself independent. What sort of Country has it's currency and currency index controlled by another Country? Secondly, the situation with the Scottish banks has been played down but, again, what sort of Country is it that its National bank ups and p****s of to another Country?

How may countries around the world use the $ ?--- quite a lot?

As for where a simple brass sign is unscrewed from a building in Edinburgh and then re-fitted to a similar building in central London has not lost any jobs up here, as an aside where do you think the power resided as regards the banks, certainly not up here, all control is totally dominated by London.

This indicates that if the Bank collapses further it is over to England to be the lender of last resort?

if we opt for yes in a few hours time it is getting close then we will have control. BUT? if we vote NO then if all the recent promises are in one iota reneged on ? what happens then ? Cameron Et All will have a difficult future.

There are concerns up here in that if we vote yes the discussions as regards how to break up the alliance will be "protracted" if we vote NO then we will be subjected to a vindictive backlash

I'm voting NO tomorrow. I have a proxy vote for my wife too and she's asked me to put NO. I hope the overall vote is NO as well. Many people are sick and disgusted at the way Alex Salmond's thugs have divided Scotland with their hatred and bile. UK OK.

LPG for f##k sake that has nothing to do with oil and gas producers

Even if the entire rail network( IF ) could run on electric have you never travelled on a motorway as you see the occasional lorry on it
