Hi all.
We would like to replace our front door nightlatch. We wanted something that is anti drill/bingo and with the possibility to lock the inside release handle at night because we have windows in the door.
We have found the ERA secure night latch http://www.screwfix.com/p/era-bs-night-latch-satin-nickel-60mm/48212 which ticks all the boxes. Only issue is that we are also installing an electronic release system. The lock comes with an auto deadlock feature which we are told won't work with an electronic strike release since the strike releases don't usually open wife enough to allow the deadlocked tongue out. One locksmith suggested removing the deadlocking nib.
My question is is there any lock that has all the security features minus the deadlock or better is there any strike release that opens wide enough to allow the deadlocked tongue to pass through.
We are aware that we will lose the BS status if using with an electronic release.
