He's talking about the opioid crisis in America and the ethics, or lack of in the big pharmaceutical organisations which he blames for causing it

Opioids crisis was enabled in USA by vested interests from big pharmas to private healthcare businesses and doctors.

To stop these things happening, there has to be more regulation, more state control.....which comes from more left wing governments. Those governments you are against.

If you want more power to big corporations then support Trump

I've had no time for this character since him and Ross pulled that stunt on Andrew Sachs, but he's starting to rehabilitate himself in my eyes with the thoughtful, well researched videos he's been posting on youtube.
I'm not saying I agree with every word he says, but he is thought provoking, at least to those on here capable of thought, and I think he's worth a watch.

He's re-invented himself in a manner which he feels will attract a targetted demographic.

He's a gobshoite & he's a shill. Everything he touches crumbles into dust & hear me now, his latest pathetic effort at reinventing himself will also ultimately fail.

Not one single original thought could ever spout from what is just one MASSIVE ego.

I have history with the ****, plays the BIG "I AM" but can't back it up.

How can any right thinking person EVER forget what he did . . .

I'm going to be honest with all of you, and if you think less of me, so be it. However before you judge, please be completely honest with yourself, would do things entirely differently than me?

Let's say I'm sitting here today a multi billionaire.
My wealth has been created since my 20's, a combo of starting hugely successful businesses and making various investments over the years.

If the above was me (and obviously we don't really know what we'd do unless we actually live something) I like to think I'd pay my taxes. That is, the taxes I'm legally obliged to pay. Would I ask my financial team to ensure I was paying as little tax as possible whilst doing nothing illegal? Yes.

I also like to think, given a personal wealth of billions, that I'd put back heavily into both the community I grew up in (typical ex industrial town with few rich people) and other communities that would benefit from a ongoing significant investment injection. Off the top of my head I'd fund things like truly affordable social housing and would seek to provide employment in whatever way I could. Worthwhile charitable causes would also get my financial attention.

This would still leave me with a very significant personal wealth. Would I feel guilty about this? Nope. Would I strive to increase my wealth? Yes. Would I give it all away, sell up, leave myself living in a tent on the beach to placate those that think I should because in their view it's disgusting to be rich? Nope. I would however have a plan to start distributing larger portions of my wealth as my years on this planet lessen, and would have plans in place for aforementioned community and charitable investing to continue after me death.

Additional note:

We're a funny bunch us humans. You might have a mate at work that says it disgusting for the average pay of a premiership footballer to be £60k a week (I don't need corrected on the figure, it's a guesstimate used to support my point.) Fast forward a decade. His son is now a premiership footballer. I wonder if he still thinks it's disgusting and advises his son that he should be donating 95% of his weekly salary to other things? Of course some, true to their convictions, would. And you can argue that should be applauded. However I assert most wouldn't.

'Oh it's nothing short of immoral that you can win a £100 million on EuroMillions!!!'
(This person wins £100 million on EuroMillions a year later ... wonder if they still think it's immoral?)

In short, much of this comes down to the haves and have nots. Jealously because some on this planet have more pennies than you, more authority, more power.

Yes it's good to strive for a fairer society, however call me a pessimist if you like, if you think we'll ever reach a truly fair society across the board, you're deluded. And even if we did, it would only be a matter of time until the power started to corrupt once more ...

Additional note 2:

I bet Russell Brand wouldn't say no to an extra billion in his bank account ...

You do know it’s very bad form to make a post under one user name and then like it under another, don’t you?

He must be, 'cos they're handling it in a very different way !
