Notch - you should read https://www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/Geo5/19-20/34 to update yourself on the status of an unborn child.

Punishment for child destruction.
(1)Subject as hereinafter in this subsection provided, any person who, with intent to destroy the life of a child capable of being born alive, by any wilful act causes a child to die before it has an existence independent of its mother, shall be guilty of felony, to wit, of child destruction, and shall be liable on conviction thereof on indictment to penal servitude for life
theres no such thing as an unborn child

pre 24 weeks there is a foetus which is not conscious, it is not a child and it is not a separate being

to update yourself on the status of an unborn child
please give up with the childish ad hominems, all the achieve is highlighting the fact you have lost the argument

I detect a slow climb down.

Denso isn't interested in the law - its irrelevant
Noseall wants to cling to a select committee report now that he's read the law and realises he was wrong.
Notch still refuses to accept that unborn children exist and have legal rights.
and carman - well I think he's still catching up.

and we still don't know what the OP wants to change about the UK set-up to make it "as good" as France, when in fact its vastly better and has been for decades.
Poor Motorbiking is reduced to projecting abject nonsense

Motorbiking is morphing into Trump more each day

youve have spent 20 pages twisting yourself inside out, but the simple truth is this:

an abortion can not go ahead without the approval of 2 doctors

True.

The moral argument deployed by Christians is the denial of the right for the unborn potential of that child to be developed.

France has made abortion part of the constitution so it cant be changed by right wing populists

I guess you didnt read the OP first post properly

thats what they claim is the reason.

the reality is that its not Christians: its hard right fundamentalists, republicans, Unionist, British right wing populists which are using it as a means to create division and conflict to gain control over people and of course over women

Its why people like Vinty clam up when you ask them how much they are prepared to pay to support these children which will be born into poverty.

The issue has been amplified by fundamentalist Christians and Far right groups but remains a core principle in the objections raised by many Christians around the world. Born into poverty? Tell that to Africa. We spend millions in aid to those countries and much of it will be in support of large families who do not use, or have no access to, reliable birth control.

And it is only the right wingers arguing against it I notice . Woman control , or attempted control. No better than other extreme religious fanatics

Looking for anything to try to make their argument, even though they have been shown up repeatedly for being wrong.

Again a meaningless gesture if it was applied to the UK. Not to mention it would be very easy to restrict access to abortion in France without changing the constitution.

Two acts of law say you are WRONG.
