Angela Rayner

Really John even for you that's a bit sad and a stretch.

You're here on a Tory Smear thread. Trying to stir up the fan base.

Time for the remaining Tories to admit what they know.

No. I can't remember the actual rules, though. It feels so long ago now.

I don't think there was anything banning beer, specifically.
social gathering - i.e. not a gathering essential for work. There is no difference between spending the day campaigning and having a curry and a bear after, than spending the day in government and having a drink and networking event after. Both were either allowed or not allowed.

But BJ opted for a fixed penalty and Starmer said he's fight it with the full force of his legal team. I'd have done the same. The lockdown laws were full of holes.

   And as if by magic to prove what I said  looks like Starmer has given her a few get out of jail tips
but will she step down over the tax evasion? The electoral fraud issue is going nowhere, Starmer is using it to "clear her name" on tax evasion.

Funny how they don't want to talk about that. Treating the electorate as idiots.

Getting bladdered and yakking on the walls of your workplace though, as well as being poor form, would have been a stretch to justify.
Even for as a formidable legal brain as yours (y)

You keep saying it's a tory smear campaign, but its very clear that this statement:
"As with the majority of ordinary people who sell their own homes, I was not liable for capital gains tax because it was my home and the only one I owned."

Is false

She was married and living at another address. Her own social media says so and plenty of witnesses say she wasn't living at her old place and was living at her hubby's place. Do you really expect the public to believe she lived apart from her hubby for 5-6 years after getting together?

She has chosen to continue to deny wrong doing. So now a likely error has become dishonesty. Not to mention hypocrisy.

Had she confessed, this would have been history... she could even have commented on archaic rules of family norms and got some sympathy.

I've never understood why some people see nothing wrong with getting w*nkered at a works do. I worked with a CEO who was a non-drinker and every do he said - please make sure your team know that I don't enjoy some p*ssed employee telling me how I should run the company having drunk a gallon of dutch courage. I will take the necessary action to give them the opportunity to run their own company. He was a c**t in many respects, but I agree with his stance on this.

That's because it is.

What proof have you seen that she made a Main Home declaration?

What date was it and what did it say?
clueless about the rules, I see. I suggest you read up on them. (focus particularly on the time limits a person has to do this).

That’s complete bolox….there was no equivalence

At 10 Downing Street there were well over a dozen parties
Suitcases of booze
Johnsons wife attended one party - even her interior designer attended

And the parties at 10 Downing Street were around Dec 2020 and Jan 2021 at the height of a covid wave and pre vaccination roll out

The Labour event was not in a period of a covid wave and by then a significant percentage of the population had been vaccinated.

You are dishonestly trying to make them seem the same. They were not

The unproven Tory claims, you mean?

This guy did

Eventually

That was avoidance John. Totally legal. Not possible evasion as yet to be determined with Rayner. You do know the difference don’t you or do you lump avoidance and evasion under the same "tax dodging" banner?

Silly me. Just remembered again that I’m on your special 'question ignore' list.

“Unpaid tax”

That’s evasion
