Have just moved into an apartment which has a radiator controlled by a wall mounted czc1 device (photos attached).
I've gone through the instructions several times but can't get the controller to 'connect' with the radiator. When I got there, the batteries had not been changed and had leaked...
I want to install a Nuaire Drive Eco Heat HC in my attic. It incorporates a 400w heater.
I have a socket in the attic so can I just plug it into that or do I need an electrician in?
I have purchased what is effectively someone's back garden, with a view to building a house on it. The seller of the land had extended his sewerage pipes on to the land so that the purchaser of the land could simply link into his sewer.
So effectively what will happen is that my sewerage system...
I've just finished grouting my shower cubicle using 'Bal White Microflex grout', would anyone recommend sealing the grout and if so, what product would you use?
First things first......I am a novice but would like to try and do this job myself. I appreciate that some things are best left to the experts....but surely this can't be rocket science??
I have a regular CH system driven by a combi boiler.
The towel rail is to be fitted in an en suite...
Boiler seems to be working fine for now, must have been that release valve at the top of the boiler casing. Just to clarify, that should be open all the time should it? and there shouldn't be any build up of pressure, just a constant steady release through it?
By the way....thanks for your...
Bled the motor, but little or no air came out. Located what looked like a tyre valve cap on the top of the boiler casing. When I turned it anticlockwise I could hear air being released. I take it that air shouldn't build up like that and that it should remain open all the time? Strange though...
There is a horrible gurgling sound just before the boiler cuts out when the hot water is on. If it's an air block in the boiler how
can I get rid of it??
I've had to drain down my system today to sort out a problem valve. It runs on a Worcester 28 cdi combi boiler.
All I've done is drain out the water from the central heating, and filled it up again, but the boiler's playing up now. Is there something I should do with the boiler before starting...
I've been running this boiler for 10yrs without a problem. Suddenly I've noticed that when the heating is off, some of the upstairs radiators are warming up when I run the hot water for any length of time, eg having a shower. Any ideas what the problem might be?
Thx for that...........you may be correct about the plaster.
When I say condensation problem, what I mean is that the moisture in the room is clearly causing the problem, but I have a fan and the window is never closed. If the paintwork was sound then I wouldn't think that the moisture is so...
I've had problems in an en-suite containing a shower. It was a new house when we moved in some 10yrs ago, and after about 4yrs I went to paint over the artex in the en-suite and some of it came off having turned powdery.
I removed the remainder of the artex and have painted it three or four...
