    Advice on Meters Please

Thanks sparky. Matty, if bidi stands for bloody idiot domestic installer you'll find that the idiot ones are the ones that don't ask the questions, rather than the ones that do. Wonder how many electricians die of smugness? All you guys that help me without such comments - many thanks...

    Advice on Meters Please

Many thanks for that. Don't want E7 and I'll get the isolator installed, and also the earth block. EFLI tests are OK, so I'll pass on the PME for the time being. Thanks for your help

    Advice on Meters Please

Sorry JohnD I want to have a new CU installed, to 17th edition regs. I've assumed I'll need the tails to be 16mm. The new CU will be installed by a NIC reg'd electrician, I just want to understand fully first. Do the small tails come from the back of the LH meter? Thanks.

Supply from Supplier feeds Next Door Too!

Thanks guys. I'll call the DNO and see what they'll do. Wiring in the house certainly does have rubber insulation. Is this necessarily an automatic rewire ? It may sound a dumb question (perhaps it is!) but the reason I ask is that the house is owned by an elderly couple who could do...

Supply from Supplier feeds Next Door Too!

Hi. This is a picture of a supply to a middle-of-terrace house. The conduit goes through to next door, so it would appear that the one main incoming cable feeds both houses. Am I right to be concerned that a) the main fuse for next door is in this house (not mine, a friend's) b) the...
