    yeah i meant oven, the hob is a ceramic one, the oven is 2.9kw, i have been told i need a fuse spur for the oven, is this correct?

    yep, he was nic/eic, i have to get the job done to get building control to sign the re-wire off, the hob is just daisy chained in to the back of the cooker then in to the terminal in the wall. thanks

    If i had a re-wire done by different electricians over the course of a year and a half, as and when i could afford to, and none of the electricians would certify each others work, would i need building regs? i know you would for a re-wire but would you for each stage of the work if it was done...

    well i finally got through to building control at the council, they want a copy of the pir, a completed regularisation form and £226.80 and then they will come out and give me an inspection, i'm still not sure what all this will get me from the council if all checks out???
