Hello folks..
The TV in my sons bedroom now has no sound coming from it..checked all settings and sound is turned on so its not a problem there..its not connected to a games console as he used it only for DVDs..
The picture is perfect..
The TV is a logic 19" .. Model e19/13b...
As title says..
What's best way to do this? Is it simply a case of boarding the floor out and then laying said floor tiles or am I missing something?
Thanks
alastair - a big west of scotland thanks to you - originally from glasgow myself.
your advice is appreciated.
will put pics of it as I do the job.
cheers
inregards to it not supporting the floor - as far as the builder who looked at said its not as the floor was running the other way -
and alot of the other houses have this taken out too.
what you say about the kitchen units makes good sense so bricking it up will be done - I dare say breeze...
ok thanks for that..what about being told to not use a lintle and just use the timber frame surely a lintle of sorts would be a must?
and finally - stud wall the old doorway or brick it? whats best long run?
thanks and appreciated.
there is nothing directly above it as such as the kitchen sits out from the house so we have the small roof for the kitchen - above the livingroom from the inside is a bedroom.
hopefully that helps.
hello folks - after some advice please - we are looking to knock through the wall from living room to kitchen and putting in double doors in a more central position.
we would also be blocking up where the old door would be (where it is just now).
I have a few questions -
inregards to...

we are thinking of having victorian tiles down in our hallway but are wondering whats best way to preparing the floor.
we have floorboards just now - is it a case of laying some boarding down and then bedding the tiles onto that? or is it more technical?
if it is simply boarding...
Hello all.
I am looking to replace the pointing around one of my windows as I dont wish to pay someone £250 for the honour - but I would like to know what would be the best mix of cement/mortar to get the job done properly.
thanks.
hello all,
as title says - we have this old hotpoint dryer and some of the clips that hold the glass door on have broke off - if you know what I mean where could we buy new ones as the dryer itself works a treat and we dont want to bin it cos of a few clips that have broke off..
thanks in...
