Ariston Genus/ sealed system pressure question...

Ok, so I stumble at the first step. Found the expansion vessel and the valve. Pressed the pin and air hissed out with... a little mist of water. Pessed again and more air. Can a little liquid form in there or is the diagphragm def shot? Am not going to try anything else tonight just in...

Can you just clarify a few points re your faq Chris? 4.3) Press the central pin. If whter comes out, you need a new pressure vessel. So the whole pressure vessel will have to be replaced? Yikes. Water knackers the valve so if you press and it hisses with air, I take it you stop quickly...

Ariston Genus/ sealed system pressure question...

Thanks Chris. Advice mucho appreciated. Going to have a look tonight and see if I feel comfortable doing this. Any idea what the proceedure should cost if I decide to go pro? One last thing: I had just topped up the system to bring the pressure up/get rid of loads of air from my radiators...

Ariston Genus/ sealed system pressure question...

Hi. I've just let some more water into the CH system through my Ariston genus 27 to get the pressure up and let trapped air out of the system. Most of the instructions say a bar of 1-1.5 is ideal. Mine sits (when cold) at 1.2 roughly but when I crank up the system it raises up to about 3.3. I...

How do I find the 'filling loop'? I have a manual but can't work it out. There's a central heating inlet and outlet. Are these just part of the sealed system (water out to the radiators/water back into the boiler) or can I increase the pressure by opening up the inlet???

Hi JS. I also have no manual. Can you post a link or tell me how I get the pressure back up??

Having no manual I'm not sure how to bring the pressure up. There are 3 screw adjusters on the 5 pipes going into the boiler but I don't know which one is to allow more water in/increase the pressure.

Hello all. I have the above in my home and my upstairs radiators have started to fill with air. Or rather, an unventable amount of air has slowly gathered. I've lost the users manual and so don't want to mess around. I'm guessing it's just a matter of letting more water into the system and...
