    Miele t250c Dryer Beeping

NTC should read between 10 and 120 k Ohms depending on temp. Less than 1 ohm means open circuit so if your readings are correct, yes the NTC is faulty. E spares sells this NTC for around £50 or for cheaper spares - try ebay in Germany (http://www.ebay.de/itm/130500272474?redirect=mobile)

Miele T430 Tumble Dryer Thermostat Access

Does your machine have diamond shaped plate at back of dryer held on by 4 Torx screws? In many models, the thermostat is accessed this way.

Bosch Condensing Tumble Dryer (WTE69) - won't start

Cut out stat should read 0 ohms and if tripped will be open circuit. In our machine, the dryer will still start if stat has tripped but has no heat. You could try temporarily shorting the stat to see if motor will start. Otherwise fault most likely to be door interlock or motor fault.

    Miele T8322 No Heat

Is the overheat stat ok? It sounds like it has tripped. You sound like you know a bit about the workings of the dryer but you didn't mention the stat. It's a metal disc close to heater (about 2cm with 2 terminals). If working should read near zero ohms. If tripped it'll be open circuit and...

    Miele T4262C dryer

Have same problem with our T4659Ci. Did you know that you can 'reset' the stat by shocking it back to its resting position. This is done by throwing on the floor - I've done this now about 10-15 times and have never yet had to replace stat. As to underlying cause, I've tried again and again to...

    Miele T490 Tumble dryer

I can only speak for my model but it has 3 thermostats, 2 at the back and one at the front. At the rear close to the heater bank, there will be the silver over heat cut-out stat (circular with wings and about 2 cm across). This is an safety device and if tripped there will be no heat at all so...

    Miele T4659Ci

6 months on and same problem has recurred. Again stripped it down and cleaned everything and lubricated all moving parts. Reset the rear thermostat (which I've had to do 3 times in the last month). Looking on advice on what to do next. I think that the fault is one of 3 things - felt seals front...

    Miele T490 Tumble dryer

Sounds like it's a problem with the residual moisture circuit. These dryers have 2 carbon brushes which sit on the drum as it rotates. A change in the resistance across these two points is how it knows whether the clothes are dry or not. If this malfunctions, then you might get these symptoms...

    Air in pressurised system

Thanks Nige, I'll have a look at the Return side of the pipework. D.

    Air in pressurised system

ps I wasn't in the house when the gas fitter connected up the boiler but I was told that there was a leak at the 22 mm compression elbow just below the boiler that they dealt with. Since then the pressure seems reasonably stable (although because I keep bleeding it, its more difficult to track)...

    Air in pressurised system

Apologies, your diagnosis sounds sensible but how do I: 1. Confirm that this is problem? 2. Find the microleak? Once I've found the microleak, I'm sure that I'll be able to fix it. D.

    How do I diagnose this?

    Air in pressurised system

I've recently replaced my Grant Combi oil fired boiler with a new Worcester Bosch Combi gas boiler. I installed the entire OIL boiler system 3 years ago and it had been functioning well until I decided to change to gas on cost basis. With the agreement of my nominated Gas safe registered fitter...

    Miele T4659Ci

Very odd but it now seems to be working (at least for the last 2 weeks) at low and high temperatures. Not quite sure what I did to change things. At the last rebuild, I did regrease the rear bearing shell (with silicone grease this time), I oiled all moving parts around the motor drive and I...

    Miele T4659Ci

I'm not giving up on this yet so stripped the machine down completely today. Did not find any major problems. The only part that looks at all defective is the rear bearing shell. It seems a little worn. When snapped in place over ball joint at back of drum, it is possible to move shell from side...
