    Repair broken arris rail

Hi, One of my arris rails has broken right in the middle of the length. I guess I need to replace it, but for a quick fix is there a bracket I can use? I've searched Google, but the only ones that come up are brackets to fix the end of the rail to the fence post. Can anyone point me in the...

[Resolved] Dyson DC07 Bin Restraining Clip

Ach, nevermind. I've just found that you can buy the whole cyclone assembly for < £40, so I think the answer is to put up with it, replace the whole cyclone assembly, or buy a new vacuum cleaner.

[Resolved] Dyson DC07 Bin Restraining Clip

Long shot this, I suspect it's a "put up with it" answer, but if anyone has any ideas... The two clips on the plastic (turquoise) cyclone motor unit that hold the clear bin in place have both broken off my DC07. One clip is a spring-release mechanism, the other is more of a "sticky-out lip"...

Change timer settings in TREX Exit Detector

Thanks europlex! Yes, I had the same issue with the manual, nothing regarding power disconnection for maintenance. It's in my office and I'm not entirely au fait with the electrical set up. The call out fee from the installer is extortionate for changing a few jumpers so will do some more...

Mechanical programmer clicks on/off repeatedly when HW on

I have an old mechanical programmer, British Gas branded but I can't see a model number or find similar pics on Google images. The timing controls work fine and CH & HW come on at the right times, etc. However, quite often (but not always) when both CH and HW are on, the unit will click on...

Install 3.5mm aux cable Toyota Corolla 2005 factory stereo

Great, thanks for the help! That should give me enough to go on, but I guess I'm just going to have to take the stereo out and check the available connectors to know for sure. Thanks again!

Install 3.5mm aux cable Toyota Corolla 2005 factory stereo

Hi, I've been looking at FM transmitters but have had problems with them in the past and have stumbled across a couple of hints online as to being able to fit an aux-in 3.5mm stereo cable to the back of the head unit, eg; - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yssNqLyA3xo Has anyone tried this...

Neon on external electric shower switch always on

Thanks all. Yes, I could do with a multimeter I guess. :)

Neon on external electric shower switch always on

Hi, I've just replaced the switch that supplies to our electric shower, but the neon light on the switch is always on, even when the switch is in the off position. This is a double pole wall switch external to our bathroom and mounted into the wall. Have I just put the supply and load...

Bosch fridge freezer makes constant noise and defrosting

Incidentally, after leaving it off for nearly two days the water collection bowl above the compressor at the back is bone dry, so I guess it doesn't look like an ice blockage was the problem. In which case heating elements or gas could be the problem? Would you suspect the compressor to be...
