Hi. My current Fireplace surround is wood and mahogany in colour. My hearth and back surround are marble and grey with black flecks. How do I 1. Lighten the Fireplace? Paint? If so what type? How to apply? Or some other product? Hearth/Back surround. Same again, so lighten etc Thanks...

My in laws continue to use hard block soap that ends up blocking the drain. Apart from the obvious answer, what can I do to prevent or at least ease the problem? Fed up with scraping soap residue from their drain to allow flow.

Hi. I have a vertical tower bolt on a gate. It's rusted into its guide sleeve. I have tried soaking with WD40 and shocking it with a lump hammer to no avail. I don't really want to replace it, so is there a way of freeing it up? Thanks
