Hi,just seen your post about hounsfield boilers and as an oil boiler engineer i have never heared of them, what are they like? I only ever fit grant with the riello rdb burner.. are you the same boilerman2 in another forum i was in many years ago. Oilheatngnetwork forum? Think bob was running it...
as above advice as it could be gas safe to boiler but a leak when running may leak then for example if the test point on the gas valve is left open on commission.
You can call in gas safe to check installation if your not sure and its free :-)
don't leave a gas leak!!!
I was talking gas boilers
I work 80% oil and agree with your comment about worcester oil boilers they bought out the best oil boiler company in boulter trianco now gone bust and worcester crap so does leave grant the only boiler i fit...
But harder to find a gas boiler you can reley on...
No i don't have that only a blue stand by light but i will try removing batteries from controls and try turning up on the t.v. buttons and see if it makes any difference
i have the above t.v about two years so out of warranty
The damn thing keeps turning itself down and very frustrating sometimes it wont even let us turn back up as we are pushing the vol + it keeps trying to go down
Any ideas can it be repaired or is it a new one??
Thanks jay
love working on the w/f wilson i have a couple still going nr stanstead..
just to add to the above you will of course need to get rid of the condensate and im not a fan of pumps :-(
Go for grant worcester "oil" are crap wish they didnt buy out boulter
now they were good :-)
where is the boiler installed as i had this problem a while back where it was installed in the loft with a frost stat which was set high and kept calling the boiler on in the evening when temp dropped..
Is this a new boiler or has this problem just started?
you right but its hard to stop these idiots that are trying to save a few quid and puting themselfs and family at risk..
Bet hes the type to get in the car and drive after 8 pints to save on a cab fair
NO you need to use a seler gas p.t.f.e. or blue paste
how many times do we read in the paper about explosions due to bad fittings.
If you do do and so poor you cant afford a few quid for it to be done saftly then buy a tin of gas leak detector
