Right then I'm considering getting a 1m motorised dish with a dream box receiver running Linux. I'm going to get a engineer in next week to give me a quote. Is there anything I need to ask him ?
Thanks alot for the reply. I don't think the mrs will go for 2 dishes. I've read some some reviews on the techno mate and they seem good just a bit unsure on the user interface as been use to sky and virgin for so many years.
Curious as to what card sharing is ?
Also is there any receivers...
Hi there everyone, so I finally had enough of paying £80 a month for cable.
Basically I'm a big sports fan and currently have all sky's ports channels and box nation and Esp.
What I wanna do is use a motorised dish with satelite receiver which will give me a good signal for hopefully...
Can you not remove the fire if still attached and undo a nut on the back boiler or if you have access to panel on side of chimney breast there might be a drain off which you could undo to see if it's still connected. Or you could just call the engineer who installed the combi.
It shouldn't be...
Im working in a large bungalow which had its hot supply on a loop from the cylinder using essex flange on the side which ive now changed. was just wondering if i could use a surrey as it has the 2 connections or is that a really stupid idea  All help appreciated cheers
America did nowt in ww1 and were gonna do the same during ww2 until pearl harbour that was over 2 years into the war. I understand americans are pround as are we but dont come on hear preaching that we wouldnt of won with out you.
I dont underatand what your saying. Are you assuming your hw is on a loop or do you mean your heating return. If theres a dead leg on hw just cut it out if its a problem
Think you might be going into a bit to much detail. acs isnt that hard just need to know the basics. But about the question not alot really as long as the fire is installed correctly with no blockages in flue and pull is good. some times wind direction outside can affect pull if blows down...
Never had any problems with valves there is a different valve on the new ones and they shut off the other way so when its inline its off that stumped me first time. Ive threaded so many of these it's untrue dont know why they have plastic thread.
Does sound like an air lock. To be honest your better off just draing system down from lowest point and filling system back up from down stairs to up stairs. Make sure you undo all bleeds and if and rads are on drops (pipes to rad being supplied from upstairs) they wont drain from main system...
Also make sure there is not any blockages. I had a squealing shower that was missing the thingy  and it had a filter which was all clogged with jointing compund from the compression elbows from the loft.
There is a small pressure reducing thingy(cant think of the name for the life off me) just sits in the hose to shower head sounds like they missed it out.
Why does everything have to be proven with a fact or figure. Surely experience counts for something. Personally dont like MB mainifolds have tendenvy to get clogged and i cant tell you how many houses ive gone to and they say that rad has never worked and it's always a kinked pipe and you cant...
