Two of us live in a 2 bed semi-bungalow and at the moment have an old Apollo Fanfare 30/50 still working well, but am looking to install a newer and more efficient boiler, (as the gas bills are getting greater)----must it be a condensing type or can I fit another standard wall unit. Rob

I have not long finished tiling my bathroom, and I find that the white sealant along the edge of the bath is getting black --I have resealed same but after a few weeks the black appears again, is there a decent sealant on the market then dosen't discolour? bob

my wife was recently cleaning the lounge when she noticed a lot of dead wood lice on the carpet around the front window area-----I lifted the carpet to do the neccessary with a spray and I found that the floorboards felt damp(ish), we get a lot of condensation in the room so I am putting it down...

Not long moved into our semi-bungalow and I have a myson apollo wall mounted boiler, fan assisted flue, but no obvious indication as to the size (btu's) will it be "hidden" somewhere else on the unit? ---

boiler can cope (100,000btu's) so, going to fit a suitable rad----do I have to drain down the system or should I use one of these freezing kits (don't know of anybody that has used one, so unknown territory there)

Have you any idea what like the glowworm micron FF series are, I like the size of this unit plus the built-in digi timer, it would look better in our small kitchen than some of the other larger ones

Thanks oilman I will check this out---my existing boiler is a myson apollo, and about 9 months ago I fitted a new thermo-couple (with an interupter) as the pilot light would not stay in, now the same thing is happening again, but to a lesser degree, the pilot keeps going for a couple of weeks...
