Are there any normal matt emulsion whites out there that aren't Brilliant white?
The reason I ask is that I have recentl had to cut a whole in my ceiling to repair a leak behind it. The builders have patched it up okay, but then proceeded to paint the patch with brilliant white and it sticks...
Thanks for the responses guys.
I have bought a shower mixer that is designed for minimum pressure of 0.1bar.
The taps i am currently looking at are Bristan, which i assume arent chinese rubbish?
Apologies for what might be a basic question but...
is there anything I need to take into account when buying new taps?
Are they all a universal fit into the pipe works?
Some taps I am looking at have a ceramic disc technology...would this be better or worse then brass??
i would have to check, but although replacing the boards was one option being considering I think I am happy with the result.
Although for a perfecy result i suspect i would need to use some sort of self levelling compound
sometimes the simplist ideas are the easiest.
i tried this and am pretty happy with the result.
it doesnt help the house builders have obviously left a bit of uneven floor, but at least I can't feel the ridge now!
I have a ridge forming on the bathroom floor where two chipboard panels meet.
The intitial thought was it was probably due to warping from a water spillage, but there are no signs of water damage on teh boards. Could be condensation I suppose, but it is only in a area about half a metre long...
i assume the technique is to try and get the chisel behind the tile.

Having removed a couple of tiles around the basis today I soon came to the conclusion it is almost impossible to do without replacing the plasterboard. :(
I have a feeling this job will be too big for me
It was just a general question I asked them whilst browsing i.e. "did they have the rapidset flex in white", I knew as soon as she said that she was wrong as I have had a detailed look on the Bal website over the last few days.
I thought I read that elsewhere in the forum you should use the...
So I went into topps today to have a nosey. I asked if they sell the rapidset flex in white and was pointed towards bal natural stone product ......which supposedly is what bal renamed the white stuff to!!
Being an amateur is it not sensible to go for the non rapidset stuff to allow me more time to faff around with the tiles if needed?
Also, do you agree with the sticky not to leave the spacers in between the tiles once set?
okay, well I am on plan g of the adhesives so far!
For primer I am looking at Bal Primer APD
