Tried attaching wires directly to the thermistor, no joy. What else can I try ? This is starting to worry me... Can the machine be reset ?

Should I be attaching the wires directly to the thermistor prongs, then press plastic pin covers over ? Haven't tried that yet in case I blew up the thermistor.

Hi Rocks, :( Well, tried connecting every whichway, soldered as suggested, no joy.. At one point, all connected up again, we got down to flashing lights 3 & 4 ! But we're back to 1,2 & 4 again. I feel it is the two pins that I'm not wiring correctly before I push them onto the prongs...

Thanks for the speedy reply Rocks. I had insulating tape, green & blue, around the pins to help the wires stay put, not sure I can see anything broken or snapped. Going to take it all apart & do it again. Fingers crossed..

Did I split the heater box when I took it apart and checked the fan turned properly ? I undid the box using my new Torque screwdriver set, took the top off - is there more splitting needed underneath ? I'll take off the rear panel tomorrow and clean out the condenser. Thanx :)

I took the casing off the heater, but how do I split the heater box ? I need to get at the condenser to check to see if it's blocked, is this possible ? I flushed it out as you suggested, but if its truly blocked can it be accessed ? Thankx Rocks :)

:) A quick update on the Indesit, I managed to get the machine back into working order, and the washing cycle is back to normal - we just get the error code 1,2 & 4 when I try to use the dryer. I'm not sure what is needed there, the heater gets hot, the fan works and there is hot vapour...
