bricked up and re-plastered a old air vent, done it myself but a bit rough round the edges where it joins the old wall. think it's bumpy enough it will show when it's painted.

hi, i'm doing my kitchen and have moved the heating pipe work. problem is that after taken of the box surrounding the pipes i've notice that the plaster only went up to the box. whats best for leveling off where the old pipe boxing was? can i just use filler or will multi finish be best? whats...

oh, i thought it had to be 12mm thick? everywhere i've looked it said 12mm. do you think i'll get away with 9mm or 6mm? my mate layed a tile floor with 9mm under the tiles and some tiles cracked.

ok so i've replaced the rotten joist now :wink: i'm going to be laying floor tiles on it, i'll be putting 12mm wbp plywood on top of the floor boards but while i got the floor boards up? 1. shall i reinforce the joist with noggins inbetween? 2. can i screw the floor boards down screws...
