I would appreciate some advice, I have just moved into a town house built circa 2002. I have recently discovered that the cold taps above the ground floor are fed from the loft tank uuughh.
Can I just block the feed from the tank and bypass to the cold water feed to the tank so...

It has a 3 port valve , and unfortunately when the boiler comes on, by the time I get upstairs to measure the voltage at the wiring centre its only gone off again, but the timer is off and the C/H stat is wound right down to min.

Sorry my bad, Yes they are all white boxes and squareish or more accuratley an elongated cuboid.
The Pump does not run when the boiler fires without reason however under normal conditions when heat or water are called for the pump is running too.
As far as I can tell it is a Y plan.

I think I will just go ahead in a sensible safe manner and as per your mail John ensure that the RCD are under the worktop away from any source of water and as they will be closed of behind doors they should be safe.
It will not be a wet room and the shower will be rarely used.

Thank you for the suggestion, the Wifey had set her heart on a nice worktop on one side of the room with a sink and Washer Dryer underneath behind doors and the Shower cubicle on the opposite side of the room I can feel a cloud about to descend on our happy household :(

I was contemplating brushing some PVA mixed with water just to stop the surface from dusting would advise against this or is it a good idea.
