getting a shock off one wall socket

I am getting a shock of the screws and earth of one wall socket (and anything metal I plug into it). All other sockets are fine and the only thing I can find wrong is the backbox earth wire to the earth terminal is missing. All other wires are present and correct. Any ideas anyone please?

Tripping caused by touching neutral and earth

Related to a comment below - given that an RCD/MCB will trip if you accidentally connect neutral to earth in a wall socket even with the MCB switched off(I discovered), is there any danger involved with only the live being isolated or is it just annoying?

    Shower mains supply

My shower is on the same 32A MCB as the cooker circuit (it was like that when I got here). While this isn't normal is it a problem regulations wise?
