Connection of boiler condensate to horizontal waste?

Hi, I have a kitchen sink, WM etc running into a 50mm waste pipe in the void under the ground floor to a gulley outside. As part of renovation, I would like to move the routing of the condensate pipe for the boiler. My question is, can I run the condensate pipe for the boiler into the...

    Drain gulley below bifold door

Thanks for the reply. No. The waste pipe will exit the wall then drop a foot into the gully. Deck will cover that but my question is it is OK to have waste pipe under a doorway its more a regs question than a practical problem.

    Drain gulley below bifold door

Hi, I am moving my kitchen in order to have installed bifold doors to the back of the house. Currently a drain gulley for kitchen waste is under the window which is to be changed to a door. It is not easily possible to feed the waste anywhere else. The gulley is at ground level and the floor...

Freeview HD signal destroyed with loopthrough/splitter

Coaxial splitter OK. Yeap, I connected PVR to TV via SCART. I actually used F-type splitter (5-2400MHz) and put F-type connectors on my cables with adaptor on ends to TV / PVR. F-types are screw thread connectors. Ensure better connection. Harry[/img]

Freeview HD signal destroyed with loopthrough/splitter

I have abandoned the PVR loopthrough and used a passive splitter connecting the PVR and the TV Looking at the bit error rate, I get a number of errors on HD channels but nothing the FEC cannot sort out (so perfect picture) Dont buy a cheap plastic splitter. Get a higher quality (metal...

New radiators before new boiler installation

I understand a new boiler / tank will affect the radiator circuit at the point where is connects to the primary. My point was the majority of the radiator circuit is not affected so adding a radiator or two at this point should be OK. What I dont want is to add a couple of radiators now and...

    Conservatory ceiling centre dome replacement

Thanks for the replies. The "crown" is not part of the fan. The fan has a metal bracket (which normally would mount with screws into a joist). The problem is it is fastened to this crown and therefore has cracked it. I will search further on the internet for a suitable replacement.

Freeview HD signal destroyed with loopthrough/splitter

The same two. I have now replaced them with some good cables and things are improved but still using an amp/splitter. I will retry the passive splitter. I am sorted now. Thanks for all the advice. Interesting to see the degradation from loopthrough / amp on such a clean signal. Harry

Freeview HD signal destroyed with loopthrough/splitter

Correct. I have indeed tried a TV amp with two outputs, one to SD PVR, one to HD TV. This does provide a viewable picture but the reported errors are very high and care is needed with the positioning of the cables. With the TV aerial direct to TV, no errors reported. I have now got some high...

Freeview HD signal destroyed with loopthrough/splitter

Hi, I have recently bought a Samsung Freeview HD TV. Connecting the TV directly to the aerial provides high quality TV reception (TV reports clean signal, no errors). I also have a Humax Freeview PVR-9200T. In order to use the PVR and receive HD on the TV, I connected the TV aerial to...
