I have a 1996 Ford Fiesta with the 1.3 EFI engine. The problem is this, when changing gear the engine speed does not die down but revs high. after a few seconds the engine will return to idle speed. Any ideas, please.

I have a Renault Extra van which is based on the Renault 5. I have a problem with the wipers. When I switch off at the stalk the wipers do not return to park position. I am assuming that the wiper relay is faulty but I an not able to find it. Can anyone enlighten me please?

petrol puntos hava tendency to lose oil from the driveshaft seals, so I would look as the bottom of the engine to dsee if it is oily

I have an astra diesel(93) and it runs fine except that after a long run when the engine is really hot the starter is sluggish and wont turn the engine over. If I leave the engine to cool down then it starts ok. I am not blowing out smoke and oil and water is fine. Any ideas?

Does anyone know if the valves on a diesel engine on a 1.9 Renault are recessed. I have the oppertunity of buying a cheap renault extra in vgc. I know it is the same engine as the clio. The cam belt has snapped and I wonder if the valves have hit the pistons?

Make sure that your earth straps are not loose or broken. There is one from the alternator to the alternator bracket and also one from the gearbox to the bodywork. If any of these are broken or loose this can give a problem like a flat batt or faulty alt.
