I don't fully understand what you mean here - do you mean to have the power coming directly from the cables coming from the meter before it gets to my main CU? I imagine that could be a bit cheaper as it's closer and wouldn't involve finding a route into the house for the new cabling...

I was thinking 60A at the main CU and 6mm SWA - I doubt I'd ever run enough power through it to need that, but I'd rather have it and not need it... inside I was thinking 6A for the lights and maybe 40A for the sockets. I'm gonna speak to some tradesmen before I go any further though see...
