    Flomaster 3439G Programmer

Thanks again Stem and Ianmac. The spark has been back and adjusted the wiring and the programmer has been reset as recommended. Now running as per the old Potterton kit.

    Flomaster 3439G Programmer

As far as I can recall, he had wired N and L as shown with connections to 1 and 4 only. When he wired the pump to 1, it ran but the boiler didn’t fire. He rewired the pump to 4 so the CH would work. Should 3 and 4 be connected to something, if so what? Is it possible that there’s an internal...

    Flomaster 3439G Programmer

The boiler is a 2001 vintage Ideal Classic, pumped CH and gravity HW. Serviced in the last few days and otherwise working perfectly. Does that make a difference?

    Flomaster 3439G Programmer

my old Potterton E2001 died and in view of the weather, for an immediate over the counter replacement I bought this Flomaster. The spark who fitted it couldn’t get the channels to work properly and asserted that he’d followed the instructions exactly. But I’m left with central heating operating...

    Low HW pressure

My hot water system is indirect and I get a decent flow to the bathroom sink and bath. However, since I had a new kitchen fitted a while ago, the hot water pressure to the mixer tap has been poor and seems to be getting worse. The cold water flow is OK but is direct off the rising main so it...

    Ceiling damp again!

Alas I'm now in my 60s and unable to get up a ladder to have a look! The insulation is B&Q reflective clad stuff that ends at the joist at the centre. I can't see any way that condensation could form at that end (which is bone dry) and run along the cover.

    Ceiling damp again!

There is no external ventilation but it has a decent gap between the T&G decking and the insulation. The bathroom is a long way away and the bedroom is little used. Why would there be a 43% moisture reading in one small spot? I would expect condensation to show over a much wider area, as it...

Don't know, no expert, what's the difference?

    Ceiling damp again!

After returning from NZ back in March I found large patches of damp on a bedroom ceiling. As the built up felt roof above it was old I had this replaced immediately by a contractor with a good local reputation. I have an Aldi damp meter and kept the patches under regular test until the moisture...
