HI laney,4mm?unlikely,i expect you have 6mm cable existing in which case as a general guide you wouldnt really want to go for a bigger shower than 9.5kw,ideally i would say replace the cable with 10mm and that would cover you now and in the future as showers are increasing in power consumption...

Hi a colleage has moved his cylinder tank into the loft, now the feed(top pipe to the coil)is higher than the cistern is this ok?Also is changing a gravity system to a pump system a difficult task bearing in mind he seems to have a "c-plan" ie a cylinder stat and diverter valve tho i could be wrong!

correction sorry its late,i havent yet tested the voltages at the end of the 4 core flex i shall tomm,do you know what i should have and ultimatly if i can use this 4 core to connect into the new pump,it is friends problem so i dont hve all the info/instructions here so thought id ask an expert...

yes 240 volts is required for the new pump with 3 connections and that is what i have on the white and yellow lead of the 4 core flex obviously the blue is N and the green&yellow earth!
