Could I please have some comments on this query because I have dismantled the shower mixer whilst waiting for a reply.

I have a slow drip coming from the shower head. I have started striping down the mixer valve and have stopped because I am unclear what to do next. Do I remove the pin and try to unscrew the capstan or is there another way to get at the washer/ o ring? Robin

A few years ago the original handset failed. it was not a videx. The engineers put in the one you can see in the picture, so it was there because it matched the system not because the original was videx. I doubt if I will learn much about the system from the back of this replacement handset...

I think I will try the flat earth concept first, because in practice I can not put in an earthing stake. However as the gas pipe is earthed that should be a true earth. If not, I can not do a lot about it and I hope the small differential will not negate the benefits.
