    Plaster pulled off wall

Thanks. Yea in hindsight I should have used something to get between wall and the desk but could not imagine they would have stuck the desk frame to the wall as well as screwing it into the wall and skirting boards! What a disaster. Sounds like a simple plaster job then.

    Plaster pulled off wall

Hello. We moved recently and the previous owners decided to glue a desk good and proper to the wall. With little persuasion it has pulled off massive chunks of plaster. The attached photo is the worst bit. Do you think I can repair this with filler or is something more drastic needed? Who...

Cistern not filling. Fill valve issue?

Hi, We've just moved house and after a few days the cistern has stopped filling. I'm not that familiar with these dual flush systems and don't really know where to start. There is a tiny slow drop of water filling the cistern but that's it and nothing happens when I lift up the fill valve to...

    26mm double glazed units???

Hi, I've also measured up my glass as 26mm. I.e. the PVC unit being 62mm and the space between the plastic and glass on each side being 18mm on both sides. Is it likely that the PVC unit is actually 60mm, meaning the glass unit is 24mm? Should I go for 24mm, and what happens if this is...

Boss connector too big for 110mm waste

Haha good point. I'm assuming the hole is the same size as the blocked off ones on the other sides. It won't fit in them and look the same.

Boss connector too big for 110mm waste

No not the roof, well it is the roof to the kitchen which is extended out the back. The soil travels further up the wall to the side of the bathroom. The branch off the soil to the left is the sink waste, and thst is the joint that has failed. The branch pulls away, but the existing boss is...

Constant drip from external bath / sink waste

Hi Chris- as far as i can tell the toilet is connected straight into the soil pipe, as it is located on the same wall as the external soil pipe. Also the overflow pipe comes out on the other wall, so i dont think its that. Cant see how the bath or the tap could be causing the drip though! Not...

Constant drip from external bath / sink waste

Here's the photo. It's a slow drip, but if I run the tap or shower in the bathroom it gushes out. I turned off the water and the drip seems to slow further, but is still there. I'm wondering if somehow it's related to water in the toliet cistern but the toilet is attached to the main waste so...
