    Easy way to remove sealant

[/url] +1 but don't use on natural stone tiles that join an area. Also get rubbing alcohol to then also remove any residue left over after removing so it doesn't attack new silicone :)

    Does anyone recognise this wallpaper?

Had a look up in the roof? Standard practice is you have some left over when wallpapering :) Then you stick the rest up the loft and forget about it. 99% of the time it's never used but for this type of problem you might get lucky. Just a thought :)

    Removing cupboard from integrated kitchen

Good point I forgot to add that. I know ours have 2-4 brackets holding them to the wall :) I didn't want any movement on freestanding units or large gaps under because of the Quartz worktop so as little movements best. I cant see what type of worktop is used from the image but if its a stone its...

    Removing cupboard from integrated kitchen

Can you provide a larger resolution image? Are those Hinge fittings still in place I can see?? If so undo those. It's common practice to screw cupboard modules together with a screw through both cupboard walls then hide the screw with he hinge baseplate. You could find there are another 4...

Electric fan assisted ovens, fan sometimes doesn't spin

My parents have a range master, after about 17 years, the old fan was struggling, grease and such. What happened was it still felt like it spun relatively freely when removed but when heating up the thing expanded a little also. But it was a little sluggish to spin before starting. I think the...

    Internal Doors - Which Product?

We have been stripping back all fixed wood work in our house and fitted all new skirting's and architraves. We used Zinsser BIN for priming/Knot sealing. Then are adding 2 Undercoat layers and 2 Top coat layers. The BIN stuff is pricy but drives fast and seals things ridiculously well. I...

    House Renovation diary

Hi there, Congrats on the house buy. I've only had time for a really quick glance so just a few initial thoughts (we're getting towards the end of a 14 month long Renovation on our first house also. 1 - "the toilet is on the outside wall to the side of the house" It looks like you have...

Best height for Built-in Mira Excel shower valve.

Hi there, No problem at all. Ah yours is lower fed, that's how they come as standard I believe. Ours needed flipping for top down feed, which involved flipping the thermostatic cartridge. That is the kind of setup you get for the outlet. This was how ours exits -...

Best height for Built-in Mira Excel shower valve.

Hi there, Personally I wouldn't have thought a higher change of water getting in on a grout line, the seal is only as good as the face place as there is still going to be a great big hole for it :) Grout (unless the Epoxy one I believe) is water resistant, not water proof. I.e. water wont...

Makita HS300DWE 85mm circular saw opinions

Yea the 610 is amazing, better than the 611 as the 610 is active break. Fantastic feature on a Circular too! I've not got the 4ah batteries though :( I've cut 50mm thick stuff I think on the 610. It's got ALOT of power to it. I think I picked mine up brand new on eBay power seller for...

    Bouncy dot and dab

I see from the thread you said you have done the entire downstairs. I assume that's finished not as in, in progress... See how the boards are, I just read it was £14 per tube. It must have cost a fortune to board out the entire downstairs... Just a random Q and if it's all done now then...

    Sealing a chipped tile.

That's defiantly just a little grout that's fallen away. My parents have them. They have grey versions of those. The tiles come in larger sections with grooved areas like yours for grouting between to make them look like smaller tiles. Same principle to mosaic sheets but ridged. You can see...
