Have to keep bleeding rads on sealed system

Done the test. It seemed like a bit of air came out to start with, then it lit, but I'm not sure if I just couldn't tell that it had lit at first as I only had the valve open very slightly.

Have to keep bleeding rads on sealed system

I haven't done this test yet, but I can say that there hasn't been any pressure drop. It's only after I've bled them that I need to give it a top up.

Have to keep bleeding rads on sealed system

Hi. All we had done was all tanks taken out, conventional boiler taken out, combi in + pipework removed/added where needed. Had Worcester's magnetic filter installed, and new bleed valves on all the rads. System was flushed with cleaner, and Fernox F1 put in as inhibitor. The...

Have to keep bleeding rads on sealed system

Had an old tank central heating system converted to a sealed combi system in mid November, we kept the existing pipework and radiators. Since then I've had to bleed the radiators every 3 or 4 weeks as the tops of the upstairs rads were noticeably cooler than the bottom of them. When I...

Worcester Bosch Greenstar Filter - installed right?

I don't know to be honest. I've not looked inside the filter, and didnt want to remove the bottom section unless I had to. From what I gather its a magnet to catch the particles and something at the bottom for non-magnetic. I'll post a photo later today.

Worcester Bosch Greenstar Filter - installed right?

I'm not sure if our filter has been installed correctly. It is on the return pipe of a Junior 28i, but the arrows on the filter don't tally with the water flow direction. The water goes into the filter through the top connection which has an outward facing arrow on it, and comes out to the...

WB Junior 28i Eco mode turning off

Thanks. I have the DT10RF. I checked the boiler and it is set to 'Once', so I will set this to 'Off'. The manual isn't very clear about the eco mode, and I didn't want to turn off hot water altogether.

WB Junior 28i Eco mode turning off

I guess this is a potential fault then if no one has any ideas. Turned it on again yesterday and it was still lit when I went to bed but this morning it's turned off again.

WB Junior 28i Eco mode turning off

is there any reason why my newly installed boiler would be turning eco mode off? I turned it on last night and the green light was on but this morning I checked it and the button isn't illuminated anymore. I don't really need the water preheated.

Central heating not working after summer lay off

I'm thinking the same to be honest. The engineers are going to clean out the system prior to installing the new boiler. I might just live with it and let them deal with it during the installation.

Central heating not working after summer lay off

Update. I've did as suggested a couple of days ago, but now we don't have heating or hot water. Our plumber friend came for a look yesterday, and ended up having to admit defeat. Again, considering that we are due for a combi being fitted in a few weeks, there wasn't much that was worth...

Central heating not working after summer lay off

Thanks for the suggestion. I'll give it a try. I might stick some cleaner chemical in the system as well, just to try and get it moving.

Central heating not working after summer lay off

Now that I’ve turned the central heating back on after the summer, none of the radiators are getting even warm, apart from one in the bathroom. I should mention that we are getting converted from conventional to combi in three weeks, so if it’s not worth bothering with, then I shan’t worry...
